A new mixed-use project has been proposed for development at 161 West 35th Street in the Historic South-Central neighborhoods in Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new small-scale mixed-use building offering spaces for residential and retail uses. Once approved, the project will replace a small commercial building on the site.
David Kashani is listed as the project applicant and property owner. The Code Solution is responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the construction of a new five-story building offering 11 live-work apartments. The apartments will 900 square feet in size. Commercial space spanning an area of 372 square feet will be developed on the ground floor. Parking for eight vehicles will also be developed on the site.
A project application was recently submitted to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
Renderings reveal contemporary low-rise building clad in stucco and accented with wood veneer.
The project site is located toward west of the 110 Freeway and near the USC campus.
