Work appears stalled at 8001 Beverly Boulevard, in Beverly/Fairfax. Octavio Beccerra vision for the site includes a massive dining hall. It aims to bring together “Notable local purveyors, chefs, and culinary visionaries in an undeniably versatile space,” according to the website for the location.
Two buildings would form the structure, with glass paneling forming the exterior. There would be a total of 24,725 square feet of restaurant space, with 598 seats, for 32 restaurants. 11,260 square feet of office space would also be on-site, for 12 separate studios.
An airy roof deck with communal dining tables is featured in the renderings, taking advantage of the Los Angeles sunshine. There will would parking for 164 vehicles. Long-term bicycle parking is also included in the plans.
DLR Group is behind the design for the location. The site intends to bring a unique food and drink experience to everyday neighborhood life. Liquor licenses were included in the plans with the intent to serve all day. The project will take approximately 18 months to build. A completion date has not been announced.
