Work is starting at 11156-11172 Citrus Drive, in Ventura. The project has been titled Citrus II Apartments, by developer Dalygroup. The site will bring new housing and some commercial space to the 2.7 acre lot.

Work has been rolling out on the site in phases, the first of which were Citron apartments, which are across the street. The newer development will be larger and have its own communal spaces. It will consist of five separate buildings, each of which will be no more than 40 feet in height and have three stories. There will be a total of 78 apartments, reaching 113,200 square feet of floor. 16,400 square feet of hardscape and 23,400 square feet of landscape are part of the design.

There will be 29 one-bedroom, 44 two-bedroom, and 5 three-bedroom layouts. They will range in size from 580 to 1290 square feet. Many will have private patios or decks. Building A will have a common area, and the rest of the buildings will have parking space. There will be 147 car spaces and 21 bike spaces.

KTGY is behind the architectural design. They also worked on the first Citrus apartments. The project aims to move Dalygroup from strictly agricultural and low-density housing to a more mixed community. The design contains a series of courtyards divided by a bar-like massing. The materials work with a tri-colored play between the stucco, the glass, and the metal.
