A new residential project has been planned at 6766 Hawthorn Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a seven-story residential project. Plans call for the demolition of a service parking lot on the site.
Seattle-based firm Housing Diversity Corp (HDC) is the project developer. Steinberg Hart is responsible for the design concepts. STS Construction is also part of the team.
The project will bring 58 apartments to a seven-story apartment building, available on the market for creative and service industry workers. Commercial space spanning an area of 220 square feet will be developed on the ground floor. Parking space with a capacity of 14 vehicles will be designed within the building, fulfilling the terms of an existing covenant for off-street parking.
Renderings reveal a slim podium-type building with cantilevered balconies protruding from its northern facade.
The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet. HDC recently opened an office and a 69-unit apartment complex in Koreatown that broke ground in July 2020. The apartment complex is now in the end stages of construction.
