Senior Housing Ready at 2562 West Pico Boulevard, Pico-Union

A new senior housing project reached completion and is now available at 2562 West Pico Boulevard in Pico-Union, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story structure utilized as a senior housing complex.

San Diego-based real estate firm Wakeland Housing & Development Corporation is the project developer. FSY Architects is responsible for the designs.

Named The Quincy, the apartment complex features 54 apartments reserved for unhoused seniors. The units are available as 53 permanent supportive housing units, reserved for senior households earning no more than 50 percent of the area’s median income level. The property also has one market-rate manager’s unit.

The cost of construction is reported to be $16.8 million in tax-exempt bonds. However, a $33.6 million construction budget was assigned before any work began.

The project reached completion last year, replacing a double-story commercial building on the site.
