A new mixed-use project is under construction taking shape and form at 6801 Canoga Avenue in Los Angeles. The updated project proposal includes the construction of a new eight-story building offering spaces for residential and retail uses.
Panoptic Development is the project developer. Stockton Architects, Inc is responsible for the designs.
In February 2023, the project proposal included the development of a new six-story building offering spaces for 154 residential units, ground-floor retail space, and a subterranean parking garage. The updated scope of work includes the addition of two more stories and 49 more apartments. Named The River Point, the project will now bring 203 apartments and commercial space into an eight-story mixed-use structure. The mixed-use will yield a total built-up area of 40,000 square feet.
The updated project plans are under review by the Department of Building and Safety. A previous proposal showcased renderings of colorful exteriors designed in stucco. Proposed amenities included a fitness center and a dog park.
City records indicate that the property sold to 6801 Canoga in 2022 for $14.5 million.
