Supportive Housing Complex Rises At 4719-4721 South Normandie Avenue In Vermont Square

A new supportive housing complex is starting to form facades at 4719-4721 South Normandie Avenue in Vermont Square, Los Angeles. The project proposal consists of the construction of a five-story housing complex, replacing a parking lot at the northwest corner of 48th Street and Normandie Avenue. San Diego-based Wakeland Housing & Development is the project developer. Abode Communities is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Construction has started at 4314 and 4347 West Adams Boulevard in Mid City, Los Angeles. Entitled “Adams Terrace,” nonprofit Abode Communities are developing the previously empty lots on two separate but close, city-owned plots. The project aims to fill a community need for low-income housing, and very low-income housing, for seniors and formerly homeless and at-risk homeless seniors.
