The “Mosaic” planned community continues to form in Northridge, at 8350 North Reseda Boulevard. Meritage Homes is the developer behind the project. Some of the homes are completed, while others are still in the works. Previous structures were demolished to create a new neighborhood.

The site will consist of 140 residential units and 10,300 square feet of commercial area. There will be 62 small lot homes, three stories high, at 37 feet tall. There will also be two mixed-use buildings with 79 units and 10,33 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. They will have one subterranean level and four stories high, at 45 feet tall.

Plans call for large great rooms, outdoor decks, and energy-efficient designs. They will range from 3-4 bedroom units, maxing out at 1,779 square feet per dwelling. There will be 175 automobile parking spaces for the two mixed-use buildings and 122 automobile parking spaces for the small lot homes.

KTGY Architecture + Planning is behind the design. The contemporary homes are arranged in culdesacs, minutes from the 118,101, and 405 freeways. Prices start at $642,000.
