A new affordable housing project has been proposed for development at 11218 West Califa Street in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building offering 76 apartments. The project calls for the demolition of existing two single-family residences on the site.
Thomas Beadel is listed as an investor. Stockton Architects and Beadel are responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the demolition of the existing two single-family dwellings to make way for new affordable housing rising five stories high. The affordable housing complex will offer 76 units as a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans. No onsite parking has been proposed at this point.
The proposed apartments will be available for moderate-income, low-income, and very low-income households. The project is eligible for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than would otherwise be allowed by zoning rules.
Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure with a facade designed in painted stucco. Plans show a C-shaped building footprint wrapping a central courtyard.
The project will be constructed utilizing the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1.
