A hotel tower has topped out in downtown Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a 37-story structure consisting of two Marriott hotels with onsite amenities. Real estate investor and developer Lightstone is the project developer. Gensler is responsible for the design concepts and construction. Moxy Los Angeles Downtown and AC Hotel Los Angeles Downtown.
Exterior paneling is rising at Figueroa & Pico, in Downtown Los Angeles. The project, by Lightstone Group, will significantly boost hotel accommodations across the street from the convention center, as well as other venues close by. Developers aim to improve the pedestrian experience in the area, and street frontage, in a phased approach. There will be three towers in total.
8777 is completed in Culver City. Apple is the new tenant, and has recently announced plans to bring 3000 new employees to Culver City by 2026 by “expanding its state-of-the-art campus with additional space for these employees and more.” Apple currently hosts its Apple TV headquarters out of Los Angeles.
Alagem Capital Group, in partnership with Cain International, recently announced their joint venture One Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. The project is a striking and dynamic mixed-use urban resort in the center of world-famous Beverly Hills. The 1.375 million-square-foot project is designed as an environmentally sustainable, mixed-use urban resort around botanical gardens. Gensler and Foster + Partners are managing the design concepts and construction. RIOS is the landscape architect for the project.
Framing is nearly complete for the redesign of Lumen, at 11355-11377 West Olympic Boulevard, in Sawtelle, Los Angeles. The modern office space is the project of co-developers McCarthy Cook and Northwood Investors. The site was previously two office towers, a parking structure, and some smaller buildings.
