The historic Bilak Building, first built in 1928, at 688-698 South Alvarado Street and 7th Street in Westlake, is receiving a remodel. Many of the structure’s Art Deco design elements will be maintained. Midwood Investment & Development is behind the redesign.
7700 North Woodman Avenue has topped out, in Van Nuys. The project, by USA Properties Fund, will bring 239 new units to the area, most of which will be low income housing. The design is five stories tall, reaching 57 feet at its maximum height. It has been titled “Vintage at Woodman.”
A new apartment complex is under construction at 2931-2941 Olympic Boulevard in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story high apartment complex with residences, retail space, onsite parking, and amenities. Jamison Services is the project developer. Urban Architecture Lab is responsible for the design concepts.
A revamp for the Panorama Mall is in the works, at Rosco Boulevard and Van Nuys Boulevard, in Panorama City. The project has a maximum building height of 30 stories, not to exceed 350 feet. Primestor CFIC/CG, LLC is listed as the developer, with city and county officials collaborating on infrastructure support.
A new affordable housing project has been planned at 318 West 45th Street in South Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story apartment building offering apartments at affordable rates. Steve & Sohyun Park Lee Foundation is the project developer. PQNK Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
