A new affordable housing project has been proposed for development at 10974 West Ratner Street in Sun Valley. The project proposal includes the development of a new four-story building offering 96 units. The project will replace a surface parking lot on the site.
A Community of Friends is the project developer. AC Martin is responsible for the designs.
The project will rise near the Casa del Sol apartments, which ACOF completed in 2020. The scope of work includes the construction of a new four-story, spanning 100,000 square feet offering 96 units. The units will be designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans. Parking for 66 vehicles will also be developed on the site.
Requested entitlements include density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than allowed by zoning rules. The project will be executed utilizing Executive Directive 1.
Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure similar to the neighboring Casa del Sol. The complex will feature a recreation room and offices for service providers at street level, as well as more open space at the rooftop.
The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
