7040 Woodman Avenue is wrapping up in Panorama City. Villa Nova Developing is behind the work, according to signage posted on the property. The site will bring denser housing to the rapidly developing area. The site was previously a two-story apartment building and garage.
The new building is three stories tall, with 41,600 square feet of floor. The dimensions are 35 feet tall, 148 feet long, and 112 feet wide. 22 apartments are inside, some of which have balconies. There are 2,600 square feet of landscape in total.
There is one level of basement. Inside, there are 26 compact, 2 disabled, and 24 standard parking spaces. 22 long-term and 2 short-term bicycle parking spaces are also provided. The closest bus stop is three buildings away, at the corner of Woodman Avenue and Heart Street.
Maly Architects are behind the design, which is fairly sleek compared to the rest of their portfolio. It is contemporary, with an offset blocking feature as an accent, wrapped in wood paneling. $6.8 million was the permit valuation at the time of filing in December of 2019.
