A new development has been proposed for 1345 North Oxnard Boulevard, in Oxnard. SVM Development is behind the project, based out of Thousand Oaks, with Mark Ross listed as the primary contact. 142 new residential units are in the proposal.
The lot is three acres large. It is north of an existing new/used automotive and recreational vehicle dealership. Several other former auto dealerships along the stretch of Oxnard Boulevard have redeveloped into housing, since the opening of the Oxnard Auto Mall, along the 101 Freeway. The building will be four stories tall. Designs include 82 1-bedroom units and 60 2-bedroom units. Two additional Accessory Dwelling Units are also proposed.
Indoor amenities include lobby areas, a club and fitness center, and community rooms. Outdoors there will be a BBQ and dining area, pool, spa and restrooms, courtyard activity areas, sky decks, and dog run area. There will be 180 parking spaces on the ground floor and uncovered lot. The Oxnard Train Station is about a 30 minute walk away, connecting to public transit.
Affordable housing is included in the complex. There will be 5 units that fall under the very low income tier and 14 units that fall under the lower income tier. A groundbreaking has not been announced.
