Homeboy Industries expands into affordable housing proposed at 903 North Main Street in Chinatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a residential building, replacing a parking lot on the site. The project will provide housing for participants in Homeboy’s 18-month training program. The non-profit organization Homeboy Industries is the project developer. Homeboy Industries has long been acclaimed for its gang rehabilitation and anti-recidivism services. KFA Architecture is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Los Angeles Planning Commission Approves Women’s Center Expansion In Downtown

Los Angeles City Planning Commission has approved plans from the Downtown Women’s Center at 501 East 5th Street to expand its campus onto a neighboring parking lot at 5th Street and San Pedro Street in Skid Row. Daylight Community Development and GTM Holdings have partnered to develop the project. Gensler is designing the Downtown Women’s Center expansion, with KFA Architecture serving as the architect of record.
