Stories are rising at 14541 West Gilmore Street, in Van Nuys. The project will bring denser housing and a couple of low-income units to the area, a three minute walk from the Van Nuys Blvd / Metro Orange Line Station, which currently has busway service and will eventually have service via LA Metro Light Right Transit (LRT). The new rail line will run mostly down the center of Van Nuys Boulevard, with construction expected to start in 2022. This is Topanga Partners seventh development in the area.

The project proposal includes the construction of new apartments, replacing small residential buildings on the site. 14817 Erwin LLC is the project owner. The Los Angeles City Planning Commission signed off on a residential project proposed at 13921 Vanowen Street in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a multi-family apartment complex replacing a series of empty residences from the 1940s and 1950s. Vanowen Terrace, LLC is the property owner. Local architect Amit Apel is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Work has stalled at 6569 North Van Nuys Boulevard. The project is by Ketter Group, a company that offers full-service design, construction, and development. The ground was expected to break in the second quarter of 2020. The Van Nuys site previously housed a couple of small commercial buildings, which have since been demolished.

“Vanowen View” is wrapping up work at 14639 & 14645 Vanowen Street, in Van Nuys. The project will bring denser housing, and a couple of affordable housing units, to the area. Exclusive Development LLC is behind the project, which consists of two, nearly identical buildings placed next to each other.

6600 Van Nuys Boulevard has topped out. Kitvan is the developer behind the project, which will bring denser housing as well as more ground-level commercial space to Van Nuys. The new development is replacing a small commercial building.
