A new residential project will soon be developed at 11611 Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a residential project featuring an eldercare facility and small-lot houses. Plans call for the demolition of a series of commercial buildings housing an automobile rental business.
Spokane-based real estate firm SRM Development is the project developer. Urbal Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 2.3 acres. Named Ventura & Colfax for its cross streets, the project will be split into two components. At the western side of the property, adjacent to the project’s namesake intersection, plans call for the construction of a five-story building featuring 129 assisted living apartments and 25 dementia care units. The eastern side of the property, located on the south bank of the Los Angeles River, will be developed with 16 small-lot homes, each three stories high.
Renderings reveal contemporary wood-frame structures clad in stucco, metal, and aluminum. Onsite amenities include community rooms, a roof deck within the eldercare facility, and a publicly-accessible-privately-owned green space at the northwest corner of the site.
The project site is located at the northeast corner of Ventura Boulevard and Colfax Avenue.
