A new mixed-use project has been proposed for development at 8800 Burton Way in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new six-story mixed-use building offering spaces for residential and retail uses. If approved, an on-site car rental business will be replaced.

8800 Burton Way LLC is the project applicant and owner. Architect Farhad Ashofteh is designing the development.

The scope of work include the construction of 24 apartments and ground-floor retail space in a six-story building. The apartments will be designed as a mix of studios, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans. Commercial space spanning area of 2,261 square feet will be developed within the building. Additionally, a 42-car subterranean parking garage will also be designed on the site.

Requested approvals include density bonus incentives to permit the construction of a larger building than would otherwise be allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, three of the proposed apartments would be set aside for rent at the very low-income level.

A project review meeting has been scheduled on January 30. Construction is proposed to occur over a 19-month period, with inauguration anticipated in 2027. The project site is located at the intersection of Burton Way and Robertson Boulevard.
