A new residential project is taking shape and form at 10401 Washington Boulevard in Palms. The project proposal includes the construction of an eight-story mixed-use building offering spaces for residential and retail spaces. The mixed-use building will be located on the former site of the BTS Thrift Store across from Sony Pictures Studio.
California Landmark Group is the project developer. Abramson Architects is responsible for the designs.
Named The WM, wood framing is rising for an eight-story mixed-use building featuring 112 residential units. The apartments will be designed as studios and one-bedroom apartments, including 15 extremely low-income affordable units. Commercial space spanning an area of 2,000 square feet will be designed on the ground floor. Parking for 71 vehicles will be provided on the site.
The project is entitled using Transit Oriented Communities incentives to permit a larger building than otherwise allowed by zoning rules. Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-style structure featuring a façade lined by cantilevered glass balconies. Onsite amenities include lounges and a rooftop deck.
