Nearly a year-and-a-half after breaking ground, a mixed-use project is nearing completion at 1860 North Western Avenue in Los Feliz. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building offering retail and residential spaces. Los Angeles-based real estate investment firm Dynamic Development Co is the project developer. KTGY Architecture + Planning and Urban Architecture Lab are designing the project.
159 homes have been approved for the Northwest corner of US 101 and Springville Drive, in Camarillo. Lennar Homes is the developer behind the project. The community will replace a farm field and historic home. The home will be relocated within the site and restored for resale, with the addition of a new garage.
Ground is starting to move at 2400 Channel Drive, in Ventura. The project, by Warmington Residential, will bring 72 new townhomes to the once industrial area, located between residential streets and train tracks. 14 of the units will be affordable housing, falling under the moderate income tier.
A new modular housing project is taking shape at 5123 South Broadway in South Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of modular units. The project replaced a mortuary on the site. The project is a joint venture between HBG Construction Corp. and Aedis Real Estate Group. KTGY Architecture + Planning is responsible for the design concepts. The same developer is building similar projects in Willowbrook and Hyde Park.
Townhomes at 195 Simi Village Drive have been completed, in Simi Valley. The project, by Landsea, is made of 37 separate buildings, ranging in from three to seven attached units, bringing 211 new homes to the area. It has been titled “The Westerly.” The 17 acre site used to stage Simi Valley Days, corn crops, and seasonal pumpkin and Christmas tree lots.
