Los Angeles-based real estate developer, Barth Partners have proposed a new four-story residential development at 636 North Juanita Avenue in East Hollywood. The project proposal includes the redevelopment of the site housing two single-family residences into a four-story structure consisting of apartments above semi-subterranean parking. The project has secured a construction loan of $13.3 million.

The project proposal includes the construction of a 23-story residential high-rise featuring 400+ apartments and retail space. Plans call for rebuilding the Acres of Books building to serve as an approximately 9,300-square-foot food hall. The facade of the brick building, which is a historic landmark, will be retained.
