A new residential development will soon be seen at 6728 Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story apartment complex offering more than 400 units. The project site was previously developed with an eldercare facility. Los Angeles-based Uncommon Developers is the project developer. Works Progress Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
7700 North Woodman Avenue has topped out, in Van Nuys. The project, by USA Properties Fund, will bring 239 new units to the area, most of which will be low income housing. The design is five stories tall, reaching 57 feet at its maximum height. It has been titled “Vintage at Woodman.”
City of Los Angeles is seeking funds for a new project that proposes to convert hotels into permanent supportive housing. Three motels are up for grabs in Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. The project, named as Project Homekey, is a pandemic-initiated program that allows cities and counties to purchase underused hotels and repurpose them as interim or permanent housing. Recently, in September 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom announced $2.75 billion in funding for Project Homekey. The City of Los Angeles, which created 744 homes through the initial phase of the program, is now getting to work on its second round of acquisitions.
A new mixed-use project has been proposed at 7541 Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story building offering residential and retail spaces. Plans call for the demolition of a vacant dental office currently occupying the site. The Code Solution is responsible for the design concepts.
