Mitsui Fudosan America is the project developer. Gensler is managing the design concepts and construction.
A hotel tower has topped out in downtown Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a 37-story structure consisting of two Marriott hotels with onsite amenities. After three years of construction, a nine-story apartment building is now open at 1010 Wilshire Boulevard in Downtown Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use apartment building offering retail space. The new building is an expansion of an existing property on the site. Amidi Group is the project developer. El Segundo-based Bijan & Associates is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
Work is picking up on the Oceanwide Plaza, in Downtown Los Angeles at 1101 Flower Street. The site was supposed to open in 2019, but has been stalled for a variety of reasons. When completed, it will bring 504 units to the popular area, just across the street from the Staples Center. CallisonRTKL is the architecture firm for the development.
Exterior paneling is rising at Figueroa & Pico, in Downtown Los Angeles. The project, by Lightstone Group, will significantly boost hotel accommodations across the street from the convention center, as well as other venues close by. Developers aim to improve the pedestrian experience in the area, and street frontage, in a phased approach. There will be three towers in total.
