Apartments have opened at 151 South Olive Street, in Downtown Los Angeles. The project has been titled “The Grand LA,” but the residential tower is specifically named “The Grand by Gehry,” after Frank Gehry, the renowned architect behind the project. The long anticipated, double towers, are situated directly across the street from the Disney Concert Hall, which Gehry also designed.

A new mixed-use development is under construction at 520 Mateo Street in the Arts District, Downtown Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a 35-story high tower offering residential, office, parking, and retail spaces. San Francisco-based Carmel Partners is the project developer. Works Progress Architecture and Solomon Cordell Buenz are leading the design team.

The project site was previously named as 755 South Figueroa Street. Brookfield Properties is the project developer. Webcor Construction is the general contractor. Marmol Radziner is designing Beaudry, with LARGE Architecture serving as executive architect.
