The Hollywood Arts Collective is continuing to rise, at 1630 North Schrader Boulevard, in Hollywood. It is now four stories, over halfway to the full height, which will be seven levels. The anticipated project will bring much needed assistance to creatives in the area by providing low income housing, along with amenities geared towards the arts. The Actors Fund and Thomas Safran & Associates are behind the project.
After a year’s break, a new high-rise residential tower is pushing dirt at 732 South Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a 42-story high apartment tower, replacing a surface parking lot on the site. Johnson Fain is responsible for the design concepts. Real estate company Mitsui Fudosan America is the project developer.
A new housing project is under construction at 16819 South Normandie Avenue in Gardena, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of single-room occupancy apartments. DE Architects is responsible for the design concepts. Los Angeles-based West Realty Group is the project developer.
A new mixed use complex has been approved for 1995 North Ventura Avenue, in Ventura. The site is currently an empty 2.71 acre lot. 78 units are included in the design, as well as some commercial space. It has been titled “Deanza Courts.”
After five years, a mixed-use project has been given approval for construction at 10801 Venice Boulevard in Palms, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story mixed-use building offering residential and commercial spaces. The new building will replace a burnt-out commercial building. Venice Adventures, LLC is the project applicant. Plus Architects is responsible for the design concepts. The project site is located at the northwest corner of Venice Boulevard and Glendon Avenue.
