West Hollywood can soon see a new mixed-use development taking shape at 7617 Santa Monica Boulevard. Los Angeles-based developer LaTerra Development has successfully initiated shoring and grading activities on the project site. The project proposal includes the demolition of a car wash and the construction of a four-story residential+retail property with commercial space on the ground floor.

Construction has topped out for a six-story residential development at 3638 Motor Avenue in Culver City, Los Angeles County. The site used to be a dental office and commercial space. Two other buildings are being developed on the same street. Arden Group is responsible for the development.

$215 Million High-Rise Development Taking Form In Downtown Long Beach

Vancouver-based real estate developer, Omni Group, has initiated the construction of a high-rise residential development on the east side of Long Beach between Broadway and 3rd Street. The project proposal includes the construction of a 23-story residential high-rise featuring 400+ apartments and retail space. Plans call for rebuilding the Acres of Books building to serve as an approximately 9,300-square-foot food hall. The facade of the brick building, which is a historic landmark, will be retained.

A sign on the property currently states that it is in development by Brooks Street, according to their website, they are behind the entitlements, planning, design, product specifications, marketing, and eventual construction.

Entitled “Adams Terrace,” nonprofit Abode Communities are developing the previously empty lots on two separate but close, city-owned plots. The project aims to fill a community need for low-income housing, and very low-income housing, for seniors and formerly homeless and at-risk homeless seniors.
