Los Angeles City Council has approved the release of $56million in funding for the construction of two affordable housing and permanent supportive housing projects in Venice and Hollywood. Two new housing projects with nearly 150 apartments will be added to the city’s affordable housing.
Ground is starting to move for 1571 East Main Street, in Ventura. The project will beautify main street with a contemporary mediterranean design, adding a few commercial and residential units to the long empty lot. World Oil is listed as the developer.
A modular supportive housing project is under construction at 12225 Avalon Boulevard, Willowbrook. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story apartment complex with residential units and onsite amenities. Hope Street Development Group, the joint venture partnership between Aedis Real Estate Group and LSA Capital, is the project developer. KTGY Architecture + Planning is responsible for the design concepts.
5040 Telegraph Road has achieved all planning approvals, in Ventura. The project will bring multi-family housing, live/work space, and some low income housing to the empty lot, which is sometimes used as overflow parking for the church next door. Telegraph and Day Partners, LLC are listed as the developer for the project, which has been titled, “The Tides.”
A new apartment complex has been unveiled at 10920 Garfield Avenue, South Gate, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a large multi-family apartment complex, replacing a shopping center on the site. Texas-based firm JPI is the project developer. William Hezmalhalch Architects (WHA) is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
