A new mixed-use project has been proposed at 717 North Hill Street in Chinatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story apartment building offering residences and retail space. Plans call for the demolition of a parking lot on the site. Local real estate firm TRJA LLC is the project developer. AC Martin is responsible for the design concepts.
Work is wrapping up at 918 East Thompson Boulevard, in Ventura. The project, by Daly Group, will bring new micro units and a little commercial space to the area. It has been titled, “Kai Thom.” The site is within walking distance of the beach, and the shopping and cultural attractions of the Downtown region.
Los Angeles City Council has approved the release of $56million in funding for the construction of two affordable housing and permanent supportive housing projects in Venice and Hollywood. Two new housing projects with nearly 150 apartments will be added to the city’s affordable housing.
Ground is starting to move for 1571 East Main Street, in Ventura. The project will beautify main street with a contemporary mediterranean design, adding a few commercial and residential units to the long empty lot. World Oil is listed as the developer.
A modular supportive housing project is under construction at 12225 Avalon Boulevard, Willowbrook. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story apartment complex with residential units and onsite amenities. Hope Street Development Group, the joint venture partnership between Aedis Real Estate Group and LSA Capital, is the project developer. KTGY Architecture + Planning is responsible for the design concepts.
