A new supportive housing project has been unwrapped at 6714 S Main Street in Florence, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story permanent housing complex offering 60 units. The Coalition for Responsible Community Development is the project developer, in partnership with New Economics for Women and the Amity Foundation. QDG Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
Work at 169 North Avenue 21 is finishing up, in Lincoln Heights. The distinct design elevates the rapidly developing neighborhood. It is the spearhead of the city’s new specific plan. 4Site Real Estate is the developer of the project, as well as the 215 North San Fernando Road project, directly across the street, which is still under construction.
Apartments have opened at 151 South Olive Street, in Downtown Los Angeles. The project has been titled “The Grand LA,” but the residential tower is specifically named “The Grand by Gehry,” after Frank Gehry, the renowned architect behind the project. The long anticipated, double towers, are situated directly across the street from the Disney Concert Hall, which Gehry also designed.
Levels are rising at 200-250 North Vermont Avenue, in Koreatown. The project, a partnership between Hankey Investment Company and Jamison Properties, will be mixed use, bringing more residential to what is largely a commercial stretch. The project is expected to wrap up between 2022 and 2023.
A new apartment building is under construction at 3301 Canfield Avenue in Palms, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story apartment building constructed just north of the 101 Freeway. The project replaced three single-family homes and a triplex on the site. Helio is the project developer. Reed Architectural Group is responsible for the design concepts.
