A redevelopment project plan has been announced for a century-old residence at 1807 North Van Ness Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the redevelopment of the 111-year-old single-family house into two duplexes and a new residence. ROM Investments is the project applicant. Los Angeles-based architecture firm TALLER (pronounced tah-yehr) is responsible for the design concepts.

A new mixed-use project has been proposed at 5365 South Crenshaw Boulevard in Hyde Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story mixed-use building offering retail and residential spaces. The project calls for the demolition of an existing single-story rental building on the site. 5365 Crenshaw, LLC, an entity affiliated with Los Angeles-based Praxis Development Group, is the project applicant. World’s Largest Wildlife Crossing Set to Break Ground in Agoura Hills

The world’s largest wildlife crossing is set to break ground on Earth Day, April 22 of this year, in Agoura Hills. The project aims to protect big cats, coyotes, deer, lizards, snakes and other animals as they cross into the Santa Monica Mountains, giving them better access to food and potential mates. Mountain lions, in particular, were a major motivator for the crossing, as their genetic diversity continues to decline. The effort has been in the works for over a decade.
