Development permits have been submitted seeking the approval of demolishing the existing industrial-use structures to construct a new commercial-use building at 1639 9th Street, Santa Monica. The project proposal includes constructing a cafe with dog lounges and an artist studio intended to offer pet rescue services and recreational spaces for pets and people alike. Quezada Architecture is managing the design concepts and construction of the commercial project.
Construction crews are in the process of excavation for a seven-story mixed-use apartment building at 1630 North Schrader Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Dubbed the Hollywood Arts Collective, the $120 million project will replace a 149-car surface parking lot with affordable housing for artists, performing arts space, gallery, and rehearsal studios. Thomas Safran and Associates is responsible the development as the applicant and property owner.
Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of constructing a mixed-use apartment complex at 710 Broadway, Santa Monica. The project proposes turning the existing structure into a five-story apartment complex with retail space on the ground floor and an underground parking garage.
