The design has the potential to elevate the community with more ground floor retail and denser housing. The site is currently a large commercial building with a parking lot.
A new structure has been proposed for 1100 South Main Street, in the Fashion District. The project, by Jade Enterprises, aims to bring new housing to the area, along with some commercial space. A few low income housing units have been proposed for the design.
1317 South Hope Street has topped out, in Downtown Los Angeles. The project will bring some low income housing to the area, along with a mix of commercial space and market rate apartments. FMB Development is the developer for the project. A standout feature of the site will be the close location to Pico Station.
An affordable housing project for seniors broke ground at 900-920 East Broadway in Glendale. The project proposal includes the development of an apartment complex with 127 residential units reserved for senior citizens. Meta Housing Corp is the project developer. AC Martin is responsible for the design concepts.
Framing is rising at 2721 West Wilshire Boulevard, in Westlake. The project, by The Richman Group, will be almost entirely low income housing. It is being built on what used to be the parking lot of “The Bryson,” the iconic, deco era hotel that has also been converted to low income housing. The new project has been titled “Bryson II.”
