A new mixed use complex has been approved for 1995 North Ventura Avenue, in Ventura. The site is currently an empty 2.71 acre lot. 78 units are included in the design, as well as some commercial space. It has been titled “Deanza Courts.”
A new multi-family residential project has been proposed at 946-962 South Lake Street in Westlake, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story apartment complex, replacing a surface parking lot on the site. Safco Capital is the project developer. The Albert Group Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
1010 Cachuma Avenue is awaiting plan resubmittal, in Ventura. The project has been titled “Scandia Village,” by developer Scandia Village LLC. Plans faced “Significant technical issues,” according to various departments of the city, including Ventura Water, Ventura Fire, Environmental Services, and Public Works, although there were no complaints from Building and Safety.
Work is progressing at the Runkle Canyon development, in Simi Valley. The project is bringing a variety of housing to the hills, including single family homes, a senior housing condominium complex, and a senior recreational center. Runkle Canyon, LLC is the developer, made of a joint venture between KB Home and Lennar Homes.
A large development is in the plan check phase for the corner of 2804 Tapo Street, and 4415, 4487 and 4473 Alamo Street, in Simi Valley. It would remove the majority of a shopping center to build a four story, 558,100 square foot residential structure on the 6.9 acre site. Norman Eagle is listed as the applicant.
