A new affordable housing project is fully framed at 720 West Washington Boulevard in University Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of income-restricted apartments near the site of the Pierce Brothers Mortuary built in the 1920s. WPH Holdings LLC is the project applicant. JAG Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
One year into construction, the exterior finishing for a mixed-use project has come to completion at 5550 West Pico Boulevard in Mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use building offering residential and retail spaces. Wiseman Residential is the project developer. Reed Architectural Group is responsible for the design concepts. The seven-story building will also offer subterranean parking on the site.
5627 Fernwood Avenue is at mid height, in Hollywood. It has been titled “Ardence and Bloom.” The project, by PATH Ventures, will bring 60 new units to the area, all of which will be low income housing. The triangular site is adjacent to the Hollywood Freeway.
Last week Los Angeles County released $15-million in tax-exempt bonds for affordable housing development at 11016 Ramona Boulevard in El Monte. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story apartment building on a vacant lot. Domus Development is the project developer. Newport Partners is responsible for the design concepts.
Framing is starting to rise from the four basement levels at 1546 North Argyle Avenue, in Hollywood. The project, by Mill Creek, will bring 276 residential units, along with some commercial space, to the popular area between Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard. The site is 1.1 acres overall.
