Mixed-Use Apartment Complex Pushes Dirt At 3223 Wilshire Boulevard In Santa Monica

A new mixed-use development is under construction at 3223 Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story apartment building offering spaces for residential and retail uses. Construction work has commenced on the mixed-use apartment complex at the former site of an Aahs! store in Mid-City. Cypress Equity Investments is the project developer. Oakland-based architecture firm Pyatok is responsible for the design concepts.

A development is planned for the Southeast corner of Agoura and Cornell Roads, in Agoura Hills. The project, by Doron Gelfand and Ossie Ben Tov, of Agoura and Cornell Roads LP, plan to develop the site with a variety of new uses. It will include 47,900 square feet of dwelling units, 17,800 square feet of office space, and 25,000 square feet of retail.

High-Rise Mixed-Used Complex Approved At 1111 Sunset Boulevard, Echo Park, Los Angeles

Four years after the announcement, a new high-rise mixed-use project has been given the go-ahead for development at 1111 Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a mixed-use development at the former home of the Metropolitan Water District just north of downtown. Three towers are slated for the former MWD headquarters campus. Los Angeles-based entity Palisades is the project developer. The project is being designed by a team which includes architecture firms SOM, Stanley Saitowitz | Natoma Architects, and Kengo Kuma & Associates, each of which is responsible for one of the three planned high-rise buildings.

The project proposal includes the development of a seven-story mixed-use apartment building. Los Angeles-based company Cityview is the project developer. Humphreys & Partners is designing the project. Other members of the project team include WPIC Construction LLC, Togawa Smith Martin, Nadia Geller Designs, and John Labib & Associates.

The project will revitalize the 2.15 acres downtown, on a long thin lot at the mouth of the Amtrak and Metrolink commuter train, with new housing and commercial space. Daly Group is the development company behind the project.

$40M Awarded For Affordable Housing At 4020 South Compton Avenue, Central Alameda, Los Angeles

Recently, Governor Gavin Newson awarded $40 million in funds for affordable housing proposed at 4020 South Compton Avenue in Central Alameda, Los Angeles. More than $923 million has been awarded through the California Housing Accelerator, which offers bridge funding for shovel-ready developments that have been unable to secure financing due to a shortage of federal tax credits and bonds. And while more than 95 percent of that money was directed to jurisdictions outside of Los Angeles County, it wasn’t a complete shut-out.
