A new mixed-use development is under construction at 3223 Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story apartment building offering spaces for residential and retail uses. Construction work has commenced on the mixed-use apartment complex at the former site of an Aahs! store in Mid-City. Cypress Equity Investments is the project developer. Oakland-based architecture firm Pyatok is responsible for the design concepts.

High-Rise Mixed-Used Complex Approved At 1111 Sunset Boulevard, Echo Park, Los Angeles

Four years after the announcement, a new high-rise mixed-use project has been given the go-ahead for development at 1111 Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a mixed-use development at the former home of the Metropolitan Water District just north of downtown. Three towers are slated for the former MWD headquarters campus. Los Angeles-based entity Palisades is the project developer. The project is being designed by a team which includes architecture firms SOM, Stanley Saitowitz | Natoma Architects, and Kengo Kuma & Associates, each of which is responsible for one of the three planned high-rise buildings.
