The design has the potential to elevate the community with more ground floor retail and denser housing. The site is currently a large commercial building with a parking lot.
A two-tower development breaks ground at 3545 Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of two high-rise buildings offering residential units, retail, commercial, and parking spaces. Jamison Services Inc is the project developer. Gruen Associates is responsible for the design concepts.
Work remains stalled at 1155 South Olive Street, in Downtown Los Angeles. Developers Mack Urban and AECOM Capital last resubmitted plans in 2018, and received financial incentives in 2019 from the city, but permits have yet to be filed. When completed, the site will bring a new hotel to the area, which the City estimates will generate $34.6 million in net new revenue for the City, including construction, during the first 25 years of operation.
A new supportive housing complex is taking shape and form at 283 West Imperial Highway in Broadway-Manchester, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of supporting housing untis made of prefabricated modular units. The project is a joint venture between Clifford Beers Housing and American Family Housing. LOHA is responsible for the design concepts.
A new structure has been proposed for 1100 South Main Street, in the Fashion District. The project, by Jade Enterprises, aims to bring new housing to the area, along with some commercial space. A few low income housing units have been proposed for the design.
