Stories are rising at 3170 West Olympic Boulevard, in Koreatown. The project has been dubbed “The Bora.” Previously, ground-level buildings on the site were demolished a couple of years ago. Bando Dela Corp recently purchased the site for $20.3 million.
Development permits have been submitted seeking the approval of constructing a mixed-use urban development at 2919 Wilshire Boulevard, Santa Monica. The project proposal includes day-care facility, commercial and retail space.
Los Angeles based DK Design is responsible for the design concepts, planning and construction of the mixed-use facility. The architecture firm has a great portfolio of services specializing in food-driven and collectively-branded architecture.
Construction has started on a mixed-use apartment building with some low-income housing at 6933 West Santa Monica Boulevard, in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Onni Contracting, a Canadian company with projects across North America, is the developer behind the project. They have titled it “MR2 Lofts.” The site used to be 15,000 square feet of commercial space, with a single-level building and automotive storage.
“City Lights,” the new project at 4531 West Hollywood Boulevard, in East Hollywood, has reached structural height. WPIC construction has yet to finish the exterior, but the essential form is visible as the 70.6 feet tall, 438 feet long, 403 feet wide building takes shape, on the busy, corner-shaped lot.
2968 West 7th Street has reached its structural height in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project, entitled “Nexen,” is a partnership between Jamison Services and City Century, who filed for a $27 million permit valuation. The seven-story structure is beginning to take shape on a parcel once occupied by surface parking and a single-story commercial building.
