Mid-Wilshire-based developer CIM group has proposed a new mixed-use project at 3017-3045 South Crenshaw Boulevard in Crenshaw, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of 168 apartments with retail space. The project site is currently occupied by a church which will be replaced by the mixed-use development. The developer is pursuing entitlements through the Transit Oriented Communities guidelines, which would permit increased density, floor area, and height beyond zoning limits for the property.

Construction has topped out at 3570 Motor Avenue, in Palms, Los Angeles. Residence Building Management Company, out of Japan, is the developer behind the project. The design aims to replace what was once single-level commercial space with denser housing and serene, open landscape architecture.

The Cumulus project, at 3321 La Cienega Boulevard, has partially opened in West Adams. Carmel Partners is the developing company for the site, which was purchased in 2016. The location offers views encompassing the Pacific Ocean and the Hollywood Sign and has the tallest structure in the region.

Construction is rising at 850 South La Brea Avenue, in Mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles. The new apartments will rise from a 12,355 square foot parcel and replace two single-story commercial buildings. The development by Halco aims to bring more housing to the popular section of La Brea Avenue.

1500 South Granville Avenue was recently completed in Santa Monica. The project was developed by CIM Group, and then sold to UCLA for student housing. The 2.6-acre lot used to be a car dealership. The address is the second half of the project, 11800 Santa Monica Boulevard was completed earlier, and currently hosts a Target, as well as other retail and housing on the upper levels.

Construction is nearing structural height at 10412 Venice Boulevard, in Culver City. California Landmark Group is the developer behind the project, which has been entitled, “The MV by CLG.” Renderings of the development were recently posted on their Facebook group, stating that it is “Coming soon to Culver City” and to “Stay tuned.”

Excavation is well underway for construction of a new mixed-use development at 7500 and 7550 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The properties, next door to each other, are in development by Faring Capital. They will bring street-front retail and restaurants to this section of Sunset Boulevard, as well as provide denser housing.
