New residential units have been completed at 11401 North Porter Ranch Drive in Porter Ranch, Los Angeles. The buildings are the second phase of “The Vineyards at Porter Ranch” development by Shapell Properties. The first phase was the adjacent Vineyards shopping center, a $150 million retail entertainment center with many local shopping, dining, and amusement choices. The site is made of ten buildings and a community center, spanning a ten-acre site. The community center is two stories high, and the multifamily residential buildings are three stories. There are approximately 266 residences, consisting of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts.
Framing is starting to rise for “Bell Creek Apartments” at 6940 North Owensmouth Avenue, in Canoga Park. The development is by Meta Housing, a firm that specializes in arranging complex financing structures. The site will bring low-income housing to special needs families in the area utilizing financing from Western Community Housing, City of Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department, Los Angeles County Development Authority, California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (CTCAC), and California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC).
Conceptual design plans have been revealed for nine apartments at 3520 West Marathon Street in Silver Lake. The proposed development will replace an existing early 20th-century single-family house standing on the site. Los Angeles-based real estate and design firm SuperLA is responsible for the project.
“Coastline Ventura” has recently opened at 997 Vista Del Mar. The project, by Johnson Development, has been over 15 years in the making. It will bring new, beachfront housing and retail to Ventura, as one of only nine institutional apartments in the western United States with ocean views and direct beach access.
An apartment complex broke ground a few weeks ago and is under construction at 1130-1134 Orange Drive, Hollywood. The project proposal includes the construction of a six-story apartment complex with on-site parking. Foundation work can now be seen on the project site. Los Angeles-based firm Massachi Industries is the project developer. OfficeUntitled is managing the design concepts and construction.
