Plans to construct a new mixed-use complex at 3401 South La Cienega Boulevard, Los Angeles, have moved forward. The project proposal includes redeveloping the site into a multifamily housing complex with office space. The site currently houses a self-storage facility that is slated for demolition. Australian real estate and investment firms Lendlease and Aware Super are developing the project. Documents show Lendlease purchased the project site for approximately $90 million six months ago. New York-based firm The SHoP Architects is responsible for the design concept and construction.
Framing is starting to rise at 321 South Oxford Avenue, in Koreatown. The project will bring denser housing and a few low-income units to the area. New Creation Engineering & Development are the primary contractors for the project. A couple of smaller residential buildings were previously at the location.
