Taiwan Center Foundation plans to develop a mixed-use project at 3001 Walnut Grove Avenue in Rosemead, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a structure with residential units with commercial space. SLA Architects is managing the design concepts and construction.
“The Link,” in Glendale, has recently opened at 3909 San Fernando Road. The site will bring ground-level retail and denser housing to an area close to employers, with the end goal of reducing dependency on auto transportation. The project is by local developer Kareco.
An application has been submitted seeking a new mixed-development plan at 6116-6144 West Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of an apartment complex with commercial space and parking. The project will replace commercial buildings on the site.
The “Mosaic” planned community continues to form in Northridge, at 8350 North Reseda Boulevard. Meritage Homes is the developer behind the project. Some of the homes are completed, while others are still in the works. Previous structures were demolished to create a new neighborhood.
Framing is rising at 7219 North Canby Avenue in Reseda. The site, a collaboration between Azure Development, Thomas Safran & Associates, and the City of Los Angeles, is entitled “Canby Woods West.” It will bring additional low-income housing to the area.
