A senior housing project has reached completion at 6233 Variel Avenue in Woodland Heights, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story building featuring apartments for seniors. The project will replace a cluster of small office buildings on the site. South Bay Partners, LAMB Properties, and Columbia Pacific Advisors have teamed up to develop the project. VTBS Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
A residential project has been proposed at 3800 West 6th Street in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a complex featuring residences and retail spaces. After failing to secure tax incentives for a hotel project, the owners of the site are opting to entitle the property for a mixed-use residential development. TCA Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
A recently developed apartment building at 289 North El Molino Avenue in Pasadena has been proposed to be transformed middle-income housing through California’s Workforce Housing Program. In partnership with the California Statewide Development Authority, the Newport Beach-based Waterford Property Company has paid $67 million to acquire the property.
New townhomes have been approved for the Southeast corner of Glenn Drive and Chapel Drive, in Camarillo. Gregory N. Bryant is behind the architectural design. The majority of the buildings will be white in color, with dark brown beams, dark brick red awnings, and metal accents. The look is defined as, “Santa Barbara Style.” It includes elements such as sand stucco finish, clay tile roof, decorative metal rails, decorative cornices, Spanish style ceramic tiles, decorative corbels, fabric awnings, and stone veneer.
A new residential high-rise has been proposed at 333 South Hope Street in downtown, Los Angeles. The proposed project includes the development of a 34-story tower in Bank of America Plaza. The new development will replace a portion of the building’s plaza and parking structure. New York-based real estate firm Brookfield is the project developer. LARGE Architecture is responsible for the design concepts. Relm Studio is managing the landscape architecture.
