$2 Billion Development Could Be Seen In Downtown Los Angeles

A mix of housing, office space, and more could be seen in Downtown Los Angeles. The project proposal includes replacing the existing cold storage facility with a new mixed-use facility consisting of ten buildings ranging from two to forty-two stories in height.
Denver-based developer, Continuum Partners, is developing this project in an industrial area at the neighborhood’s border with Little Tokyo and Skid Row. The architecture firm, Studio One Eleven, is developing the master plan.

Construction has begun for a large multifamily residential development just north of a Metro L Line station in Duarte. MBK, a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Mitsui & Co., announced its purchase of the Duarte development site just over one year ago.

Apartment Complex Planned At 5001 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles

An eight-story apartment complex is planned at 5001 Wilshire Boulevard in Hancock Park. The project proposal includes the construction of 242 residential units and the demolition of a strip mall. The retail center that will be replaced was built in the 1980s at the northwest corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Highland Avenue. Pacific Springs LLC is the developer property owner. TCA Architects is managing the design concept and construction of the project.
