Work is progressing on LAMP (Landslide Access Modernization Program) at LAX. The Consolidated Rent-A-Car (ConRAC) facility is wrapping up on the structural concrete pouring phase. When completed, 6.4-million-square-foot complex will have space for 18,000 vehicles, making it the largest parking structure in the world.
A new headhouse for Terminals 2 and 3 is set to open April 20th at LAX. A ribbon cutting was held March 29th. It is the first phase of a $2.3 billion modernization of the facilities. It will include new ticketing lobbies and baggage claim areas, a consolidated Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint, and a Delta Sky Club.

Plans call for the demolition of a small residential building that is currently being used as a church. Beverly Hills-based Local Development Inc is the project applicant. The project proposal includes the development of an apartment complex offering residential units and onsite parking. The project will be replacing an automobile repair garage on the site. Los Angeles-based real estate firm Urbanworks is the project developer. IwamotoScott Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
A new residential tower in coming to a site proposed at 1050 La Cienega Boulevard in Carthay Square, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a high-rise tower offering residential, retail, and open spaces on an empty lot. The property was previously entitled for a seven-story apartment building. CP VIII La Cienega LLC, an entity affiliated with San Francisco-based developer Carmel Partners, is the property owner. Solomon Cordwell Buenz is responsible for the design concepts.
