Construction is rising at 850 South La Brea Avenue, in Mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles. The new apartments will rise from a 12,355 square foot parcel and replace two single-story commercial buildings. The development by Halco aims to bring more housing to the popular section of La Brea Avenue.
Construction of an affordable housing development for seniors at 7219-7227 North Canby Avenue in Reseda has been initiated. The project proposes the construction of a four-story building. William Hezmalhalch Architects is managing the design concept and construction. Real estate developers Azure Development and Thomas Safran & Associates have teamed up to develop the project.
1500 South Granville Avenue was recently completed in Santa Monica. The project was developed by CIM Group, and then sold to UCLA for student housing. The 2.6-acre lot used to be a car dealership. The address is the second half of the project, 11800 Santa Monica Boulevard was completed earlier, and currently hosts a Target, as well as other retail and housing on the upper levels.
New residential and commercial development is expected for 1233 North Highland Avenue and 1242 North Citrus Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new mixed-use building with 72 apartments and ground-level retail. The project will set aside eight of its one and two-bedroom apartments as deed-restricted affordable housing.
Construction has topped out at 12575 Venice Boulevard in Mar Vista, Los Angeles. The structure, in development by LaTerra, will bring more housing to the Venice Mar Vista Arts District, recently created by the City of Los Angeles. The site was purchased in 2019. The location is a short drive from Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon Studios, and Sony.
