High-Rise Mixed-Used Complex Approved At 1111 Sunset Boulevard, Echo Park, Los Angeles

Four years after the announcement, a new high-rise mixed-use project has been given the go-ahead for development at 1111 Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a mixed-use development at the former home of the Metropolitan Water District just north of downtown. Three towers are slated for the former MWD headquarters campus. Los Angeles-based entity Palisades is the project developer. The project is being designed by a team which includes architecture firms SOM, Stanley Saitowitz | Natoma Architects, and Kengo Kuma & Associates, each of which is responsible for one of the three planned high-rise buildings.

A new apartment building has been proposed at 2528 South Grand Avenue in historic South Central, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a seven-story mixed-use apartment building. Los Angeles-based company Cityview is the project developer. Humphreys & Partners is designing the project. Other members of the project team include WPIC Construction LLC, Togawa Smith Martin, Nadia Geller Designs, and John Labib & Associates.

Development Approved for 635 Los Angeles Avenue, in Moorpark

A new project has been approved for 635 Los Angeles Avenue, in Moorpark. Summer Land Partners Group is behind the development, which will bring 63 multi-family residential condominiums to what is currently an empty lot. The four acre site will be improved with 17 two-story residential buildings, with a mix of 11 two-bedroom and 52 three-bedroom units. Some of the units will be low income.
